About us
LanCologne is a company based in Cologne that specialises in IT forensics, mobile forensics and data recovery. We are looking for a meticulous, technically skilled individual to join our data recovery team, who will analyse damaged or failed data storage devices and, where possible, recover the data.
Ongoing call for applications

Tasks
- Diagnosis of damaged or failed storage media (including hard disc drives, SSDs, RAID systems, flash memory and mobile devices)
- Data recovery using suitable hardware and software tools, including PC-3000, UFS Explorer, R-Studio and USB Stabiliser, as well as work carried out in our own cleanroom laboratory
- Documentation of the diagnostic and recovery steps
- secure and confidential handling of client media and recovered data
- clear communication of technical findings to customers
- Compliance with our internal security, data protection and quality standards
Essential qualifications
- demonstrable practical experience or in-depth knowledge of data recovery
- Written and spoken German at a level that enables confident professional communication with customers (recommended: at least level B2/C1) – this requirement stems from the direct customer contact involved in this role
Desirable skills
- Experience in using common data recovery tools (e.g. PC-3000, UFS Explorer, R-Studio)
- An interest in ongoing professional development within a constantly evolving field
