Not all data areas can be accessed via logical extraction. Deleted data, internal databases or protected system areas can often only be examined using other methods.
Logical extraction is a key component of mobile IT forensics. In many cases, it provides a comprehensive data set in its own right, but it does not replace all other advanced forensic techniques.
